Ho Chi Minh City — Legal and trade experts from Australia, Japan, Malaysia, New Zealand, Sweden, Thailand, the United States, Viet Nam and the World Trade Organisation began a three-day conference in Ho Chi Minh City yesterday to discuss transfer of technology between developed and developing countries.

The Cooperation Agreement for supporting the development of NOIP's Standing Office in Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park between the National Office of Intellectual Property of Vietnam (NOIP) and the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) was signed by NOIP's Director General Tran Viet Hung and WIPO's Director General Francis Gury, witnessed by the First Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Nguyen Quan, in the afternoon of 21 September 2010, in Geneva, on the occasion of Vietnamese delegation to attend the WIPO General Assemblies.
